Suds in the Bucket Line Dance

Well he must have been a looker, a smooth talkin’ son of a gun
For such a grounded girl to just up and run

Course you can’t fence time
and you can’t stop love

This is the song of the morning.  You know, the song that randomly pops up on your play list and there is a line or two that catches you.  “Course you can’t fence time” is one that always gets me.  Somehow I get the sinking feeling that “Suds in the Bucket” is going to be a life theme song in about 11 years with my oldest child… except for the fact that we don’t live in a small town, I don’t know where any biddies are drinking pink lemonade, and such. All in all, though, this is probably my favorite Sara Evans song…

But I suppose this somehow conveniently, randomly goes with the ability to post another video.  Kalli and I learned this one, but I’m just not impressed with the last 16-ish counts.  It just seems very haphazard to me, not as fluid as I’d like.  I personally tend to make it up and cheat.  I’m wondering if it’s just me?  I just had this “hey, let’s throw random steps and turns in at the end to fill out this dance” feeling.

Here’s a good walk through of it:

Here’s another demonstration:

And here is the step sheet.

What do you think about this dance? Do you have a better one for Suds in the Bucket? Favorite Sara Evans song?

Keeping me sane

Eric Church is keeping me sane this evening.  (Just downloaded the rest of this album from iTunes… not sure what took me so long to complete it.)

An’ how ’bout you?
Do you feel the way I do?
To tell the truth,
I think we’re the chosen few.
But that’s just me:
How ’bout you?
